Question Unanswered: Access 2000 parameter query problem

Does anyone know how, when running a parameter query, to return all records regardless of their content if nothing is entered into the prompt? I am really stuck here!
    Cheers

    Parameter Query

In query design view I use the following criteria for a field named LastName....

    On the first criteria line:

[Please Enter a Name. Leave blank to show all records]

On the line directly below put:

[Please Enter a Name. Leave blank to show all records] Is Null

    Let us know.

I have discovered that entering Like [parameter] & "*" works well!
Having a problem with yes/no fields though.

write it :nz([parameter],[the name of the field in query])
in the criteria of each field in the query you need a parameter
and it works for boolean fiels too.
