    Unanswered: SQLAgentMail -SqlServerAgent Starting.......

    Hy Guys,

    It's me again!

I configured my SQL Server and Agent to use a servicer account chamada "svcSQL".

This account has a exchange mail, and i configured it in my Outlook 2000 Client on the server; Still logged in the server with this account, I( configured SQLMail to use the created profile "svcSQLProfile".

Then I configured SQlAgentMail to use the same profile, then SQL asked me for restart SQLServerAgent, I stopped the service, but now the service don't starts... It is STARTING.... (FOREVER)

I used "Kill" to stop the service (SQLSERVERAGENT), since I can't boot Server or Restart MsSqlServer.

Then I removed the profile from SQLAGENTMAIL (only SQLAGENTMAIL) and the service started sucessfully.

I repeated the process, and I got the same problem!!!

    Some suggestion??

perhaps, you can save yourself some headaches by using gert's xp:

which sends mail via smtp server.
