Unanswered: DB2CC cannot start in Linux

I have installed DB2 7.2 EE on Red Hat Linux 7.1 using db2setup.
Installation successfully completed.I have chosen Control Center before installation.

But after installation I logged in as db2inst1 user but failed to start control Center using db2cc.
    Error is :
/home/db2inst1/sqllib/bin/db2cc: jre : command not found.

Can you give suggestion how to rectify the problem.

jre is no longer an executable file even though it is still that way in the db2cc script. You need to create a link , check out this how to

Lightbulb Re: DB2CC cannot start in Linux

Have you installed IBM JDK 1.1.8 on your machine? Jre is a command of JDK and is available after installing this package.
If JDK is istalled you may set the JAVA_HOME variable in profile of user db2inst1 (user owner of instance).

    HI.
