Unanswered: FoxPro/LAN 2.0 to Visual FoxPro 6 Conversion Help!

I am trying to convert an old DOS FoxPro/LAN 2.0 database to Visual FoxPro 6 under Windows 2000.
I have no experience with FoxPro, and I know the basics for MS Access.

I was thinking of trying to use Access for the conversion, but I was wondering if there was a better way...

How hard is it to convert/import a foxpro database into Visual FoxPro?

Where can I find information on the subject?

Would it be better to use Access?

    Use Fox Pro.
You should be able to simply open it w/ nearly any version of FoxPro... you probably want to "convert" the indexes etc. There is pretty good info on how in most FoxPro manuals and books.
Avoid ACCESS until you get it up to something more current unless you can find some way to import into access .dbf files (which I have yet to find, but which must exist).

Now I don't want to get off on a Rant here, but ...

I'm very prejudice on this one, being a VFP developer myself, but in the end I believe you'd be doing yourself a favor to stay with the Fox. Being datacentric, it makes any data manipulation a breeze. As well as the ability to "Upsize" to SQL ( either Server or Oracle or ... ) at will when it grows.

That just my opinion, I could be wrong.
