    Hello,

I am working with pl/sql to parse and process text files. Is there any functionality in utl_file to grab multiple files such as *.txt and is there any intrinsic functions to move or copy files.

    thanks

Not really. There is an FCOPY and an FRENAME procedure for single files, but that's about it. You would need to drop into Java to do more than that. Sorry, I can't help with how you'd do that.

What you mean is that :how use copy or move in sqlplus?
    perhaps you can try :
    sqlplus>host copy ..
    sqlplus>host move ..

I have a stored procedure that writes to log files. I would like to delete log files after say 2 weeks. I also am planning on writing another proc that will grab all files(*.bin) from a directory and parse and process them. I suppose I could write the code to process a file that is passed to it and have the sqlplus script do that but i was hoping I could actually do it in pl/sql.
