    Unanswered: NULL values and storage

An INTEGER is a 4 byte field. Is it 4 bytes even when it contains NULL value?

    Re: NULL values and storage

If you're talking about DB2 UDB zOS/OS390, you'll need four bytes for an integer column that doesn't allow nulls and 5 bytes (4 from integer and 1 from null indicator) for an integer column that allow nulls. I suppose, DB2 UDB LUWO handels it the same way.
