This problem might be resolved a few ways. I built a database and report which tracks projects and is to be networked. There is a request to allow limited update of two fields by the parties completing the projects to enter status (% of completion) and comments. If there are not permission controls to limit access to designated fields in the primary table, I guess it would take an import of a data from a matching field in from another table to which access would be permitted, into the primary table. If a query could be avoided I would like to do that, the individuals who will be using this, are just that, users. I don't want to make it any more complicated than necessary.
