    Unanswered: export problems :(

    anyone could help me?

I'm trying to export (FULL) my DB (8.1.5.0.0 on solaris) and I'm experiencing this problem:

    .......
    .......
    .......
    . exporting referential integrity constraints
    . exporting synonyms
    EXP-00008: ORACLE error 904 encountered
    ORA-00904: invalid column name
    EXP-00222:
    System error message 2
    EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully

please, anyone has some ideas about it?

    TNX IN ADVANCE...
    bye

Lightbulb Can you provide add'l info.....

    Hi,

What is the exact syntax of your Export statement? Also, what user_id and/or role are you using?

You might want to try a sample run by just exporting one table and seeing what would happen.

For example, export the table "Foo" :

    exp username/password file=foo_prod.dmp constraints=n indexes=n rows=y grants=n feedback=10 tables=foo

I look forward to hearing back from you!

    Regards,
    Bella

log in as sys and run the $ORACLE_HOME\rdbms\admin\catexp.sql

If this doesn't fix it and do the following:

    SQL> desc SYS.EXU8SYN
    Name Null? Type
    ----------------------------------------- -------- ----------------------------
    SYNNAM NOT NULL VARCHAR2(30)
    SYNTAB NOT NULL VARCHAR2(30)
    TABOWN VARCHAR2(30)
    TABNODE VARCHAR2(128)
    PUBLIC$ NUMBER
    SYNOWN NOT NULL VARCHAR2(30)
    SYNOWNID NOT NULL NUMBER
    SYNTIME NOT NULL DATE

If there is column missing, please recreate this view as SYS:

    drop view SYS.EXU8SYN
CREATE view exu8syn (synnam, syntab, tabown, tabnode,
    public$, synown, synownid, syntime) AS
    SELECT o$.name, s$.name, s$.owner, s$.node,
    DECODE(o$.owner#, 1, 1, 0),
    uo$.name, o$.owner#, o$.ctime
    FROM sys.exu81obj o$, sys.syn$ s$, sys.user$ us$, sys.user$ uo$
    WHERE s$.obj# = o$.obj# AND o$.owner# = uo$.user# AND
    s$.owner = us$.name(+) AND
    NVL(s$.owner, 'SYS') not in
    ('ORDSYS', 'MDSYS', 'CTXSYS', 'ORDPLUGINS', 'LBACSYS')
    /

let me know if you still have problems

8.1.5.0 had several bugs in exp. I found several bugs dealing with temporary tables and partitioned tables. Upgrade to 8.1.5.1 at a minimum, IMHO.
