    Unanswered: Alter Column

    Hi
I have a database (Access 2000) with a field called ID which is an Integer.
Do you know how can I change it to be a primary key, autonumeric and not null ?

I'm not sure about the ALTER TABLE syntax

    Thanks ain Advance

The simple solution would be to create another field in the database, for example fldID and make it autonumber and the primary key. When you nest open the table, each record will have its own autonumber. You can then delete the ID field and then rename fldID to ID
