Question Unanswered: Importing data to MySQL?

Is there an efficient way to import data from an HTML or MS Word table into MySQL?

I have a basic interface that allows entry of one record at a time, but I am looking for an efficient way to quickly import multiple records.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

I dont think that there is any method. The only way you can import data is from CSV or as batch scripts like naissani suggested.

you can try out GUI like SQLyog at http://ww.webyog.com/sqlyog which allows you to quickly import data from CSV and .SQL file.

    Thumbs up Thanks!

I found a script by paul.kovac@bigpond.com of Total Net Marketing that I was able to use to import records from .CSV and .TXT files into MySQL. The script does not handle single quotations marks ('), but it was free and did the job. Thanks Paul!

    Re: Thanks!

Was there a URL where this script is posted?
I tried the paul.kovac@bigpond.com email but it bounced.

    Thanks
