Unanswered: One field's contents determines another ...

I have a "city" field on a form. It's a combo box and derives its list of cities from a 3-column table, "CityLocation". Column 1 of the table is a Primary Key auto-number field. Column 2 is the "city" column that populates the "city" field on the form. Column 3 is a region code (numbers 1-6) that indicates the region of the state the city is located in.

If I select Boston in the combo box, and its region code is 1, how do I get the "1" to appear automatically in a "region" field on the form?

    Your help is appreciated.

    hi eloerc,

    Put inthe "region" field controlsource:

    =[city].[column](2)

Obs: The first column is 0, second is 2, etc..
