    Unanswered: JDBC authentification

    I am experiencing this weird prob.
    I have tried to use the net JDBC driver in a java app and i get an invalid userid/password error.

    I am using system userids and i am absolutely sure that they are correct.
    Is the authentification different when using jdbc.

    Thank you

    It might help to put the syntax of your connection statement in here, I had the same error on the first attempt........

    //String SourceURL "jdbc:db2:udbname:user=uname;password=upass;" ;

    replacing udbname,uname,upass with your database name, user name, and password.

    Whoops. just noticed I put in the wrong syntax there too, here is what we used:

    databaseConnection = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:db2:dbname","use rname","password") ;
