Angry Unanswered: Adding Entries into a Table via Textbox

    Newbee here:

    Simple question -

I have a table and a form. The forms has a textbox which asks: "Enter a Name:"

The user enters a name in the textbox. Now I want it to be placed in an exisitng table with one collumn ("Names")

Now.. it must place the new entry at the end of the list.

Sure sounds simple.. but not for me.

It looks like you are using unbound forms.
If you could bound your table to the form and specify field [Names] as a datasource for the textbox, you would get all the functionality automatically.

Post Update: Found what I needed

I just wanted to post the solution I decided to use:

I ended up creating me a macro that ran simple SQL code. Then coded the macro into my form.

    DoCmd.RunMacro "Macro1", 1

    Macro1:
    INSERT INTO table_name VALUES ([text_box])

This did exactly what I wanted.
