Question Unanswered: Oracle 9i and connect to system /manager

    Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum.

I have installed oracle 9i personal edition, running on Win 2000 and a pentium 4 machine. I've downloaded oracle 9i from oracle's web site. Can anyone tell me if they ever had this problem, where you can not log into system/manager to create new users. Additionally, under the scott/tiger user I can create tables, procedures, sequences...etc, however when I try to log into system/manager I can not log in. If anyone can help me with this problem, it would appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Michelle

Try adding "as sysdba" as in:
    connect system/manager@mydb as sysdba
