    Unanswered: Do not see table name in all_tables or dba_tables

    I have a table which I can view by desc and select shows me the data. But I dont see this table in all_tables, user_tables
    or dba_tables. Can someone help because I would like to see which trigger it uses.

    Thanks

    Maybe you are using a synonym that is different from the table name?
    have a look in ALL_SYNONYMS.

    I hope you remember that in all_tables you have to search table's name in upper case.

    Cool

    As the user who sees the tables with DESC, run:

    SELECT table_name FROM dba_tables WHERE table_name = UPPER('table_name');

    Bet you on my OCP DBA certificate, the table will be there.

    Hope that helps,
