Unanswered: ocp 8 8i upgrade dba to do db2 certification

I had done my ocp 8 8i upgrade certification now i would be doing my
Ibm certification i FIND THE IBM CERTIFICATION TOO EASY DO TELL
ME WOULD IT BE REALLY WORTHWILE DOING THIS .
Am i on the right track shifting from Oracle after having around 6 years
of oracle dba experience . ??
I find right now lots of people learning oracle rather than udb so I find
there might be an oversupply of oracle people so better shift to udband db2 dba since u tend to be rare ??

Re: ocp 8 8i upgrade dba to do db2 certification

First, let me welcome you to the world of DB2 ....

Let me not comment on whether the Certification is easy or difficult ... Also the question of whether certifications are worthwhile is being asked with a number of Vendor Certifications ...

Well, I feel that Certification helps you to gain broder knowledge of the product rather than making you an expert(unlike the Certification title tells) ..... I'm not the only person who feels this .. If you look at the poll on Certification in this forum, you'll see that nearly 75% of the certified people who voted have found it useful to improve their knowledge of the subject as against 13% to whom the certification fetched a better job/promotion.

    Cheers
