    Wink Unanswered: Rookie - DB2

    Hello,
I am a freshman in the DB2 world. What are the steps needed to create a database after installation, any sample scripts, I have seen commands such as create database command, but how do I specify which files go where as is done in an rdbms like oracle. I don't mean the sample database, rather a custom database for a production environment.
I have successfully installed DB2 Server, or so it seems on AIX, and I now have to create a database.

I would appreciate your expert assistance!

    Thanks.

Parhaps the easiest way is to use "Control Center".

With Control Center, you can create "Database" and most of the db2 objects using wizard, so you don't need the skills of db2 commands.

Additonally, you can see the sql script which CC generated , so that you can re-use it later.
