    Exclamation Unanswered: table partition

    HI,

    Before bcpin I have altered a table into 8 partitions. After bcpin
    the data sent to only one partition.

    Please let me know why it was happening like that and Let me knwo how can I will split the data into all partition

    This is normal behaviour.

    To bcp into several partitions split your file into 8 parts and bcp them into the partitions.

    You have to specify the partition number like this:

    bcp mydb..mytable:1 in ...
    bcp mydb..mytable:2 in ...
    bcp mydb..mytable:3 in ...

    To resync your partitions, you can execute a

    alter table yourTable unpartition
    alter table yourTable partition n

    ... or recreate the clustered index, depending the version your're using
