Unanswered: Excel to ASP in MS Access

Question: How would I change an excel Spreadsheet into an .asp webpage. I want all the formulas to also be converted to my .asp page? and then have all the inputted data save into MS Access. Any ideas?

    Short answer: Isn't doable (easily).

Long answer: You can use your excel spreadsheet as a data source (look into ODBC and OLEDB data sources)and set up an ASP page to read from it and display a form based on that input. Then have the form submit to another page that would stuff the information into an Access database.

I think you are getting confused about the difference between the display layer (HTML) and the data layer (your backend database). You should probably step back and think about what it is you are trying to accomplish and see if there is an alternate route you can take to get there.

    Hope this helps...
