Question Unanswered: Truncate field in query?

Is it possible to truncate a field from the right hand side in Access 2000.

Example: If I have 1234ABC, is it possible to pull out ABC in an access 2000 table?

    Thanks.

Depends on how you want your data to end up...
You can use the LEFT function to select n characters from the left or if you want numbers without text you can use the VAL function.

    if MyField is 1234ABCD
    VAL([MyField]) will return 1234

It really depends on what your requirements are - please post your exact scenario.
