    Unhappy Unanswered: Oracle 8.1.7 for Solaris Intel

    Hi, all
    I need install in my computer (home) the Oracle 8.1.7 for Solaris Intel.
    I have student administration product.
    This product isn't available in Web site Oracle for download, you know with obtain is product?
    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Cool

    SUN dropped the Solaris (x86) clone already. You better bet would be to get an Linux version. There will not be 9i and after port for Solaris (x86) any time soon.

    Still not convinced 100%. It is proven to fail against Linux installation bases.

    Ok. Found the SUN news release. Seems they changed its strategy on October 4, 2002 to support Solaris 9 on x86. But two months ago they said they won't.

    Can't trust them anymore !!!
