    Angry Unanswered: Using a BLOB

This question might sound stupid but I'm gonna ask it anyway.

When you create a table how do you give the specific size of the column that's gonna contain the BLOB?

I've tried searching the documnttion of MySQL but I didn't find anything.

    If anybody can help, thanx.

You don't as far as I remember. A BLOB is treated as a binary varchar and therefore, as long as it's within the maximum size of the BLOB datatype you're using (check the MySQL docs for the size constraints) you've no need.

What are the method to determine the values to insert in the 'value" ?
