    Unanswered: Strange timeout Error

My stored procs go into an endless loop @ once every month. When I restart the database all goes back to normal.
Any idea on why this is happening or how to avoid it?
    Thanks so much

S1 It is not clear what you mean by "go into an endless loop". Are you using recursion in stored procedures, triggers, both, or do you mean something else entirely? Try posting one or more of the stored proc tsql along with the appropriate table, etc. ddl tsql.

How do you know that your procedures enter an infinite loop? Are you using PRINTs?

Recursion is limited to 32 levels by default. After that SQL Server breaks the connection.
