    Arrow Unanswered: Online backup

When doing online backup on DB2 UDB 7.x running on Linux, what kind of performance hit is there for applications. Also how does the running applications are affected?

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Online backup

There can be uncommited transactions in an online backup ....

When restoring, your rollforward will commit/rollback the transactions ...

    Cheers

    Re: Online backup

Thanks for your response. Actually my question is does transaction waits for the backup to complete (I am assuming online backup process might need locks on table or tablespaces) is it the case?

    Thanks
