    Smile Unanswered: Problem in SQL STATEMENT IN ACCESS

    Hi
    I am having problems with this SQL STATEMENT .I am getting the input from the user and then trying to fetch the item number which has Category = PLANNED
    ....any help will be appreciated

    strMsg = "Please Enter the Ripped Inventory Item Number"
    ItemNumber = InputBox(Prompt:=strMsg, Title:="Ripped Inventory Item Number")
    SQLSTmt = "select * from [Inventory] where [Item Number] = '" & ItemNumber & "' And [Category] =""PLANNED"""

    Put the word PLANNED in single quotes:

    And [Category] = 'PLANNED'"
