Question Unanswered: Send a Task from Access??

I have a job-tracking database that my manager wants to auto-generate Outlook tasks to the tech the job is assigned to.
I already setup the ability to email job info but 'that’s just not good enough'!

We use Exchange 2k as the backend to Outlook.
Can I create tasks the same way?? (if so how??)

I use the following code to create mail items in outlook from excel. I have checked and the set myitem line below could create a task instead.

Dim myOlApp As Outlook.Application, myitem As Outlook.MailItem
    Do While filesendname <> "END"
    Set myOlApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
    Set myitem = myOlApp.CreateItem(olMailItem)

    eg. Set myitem = myOlApp.CreateItem(olTaskItem)

is a valid line, suggset you work from there.

    Unhappy

I'm getting an error on Outlook.Application:User-defined type not defined

The company is using Access 97 and Outlook 2000, could that be the issue, or am I just missing something??

you need to add the library to Access, just as i did in excel.

Start the VB editor go to tools - references then add the Outlook reference and all will be well.....
