Exclamation Unanswered: Subforms - record nav (Help ASAP, Pleeez!)

    can anyone help me??

I have a main form called frmDataEntry which is unbound. On that form among other things I have a combo box called cboPersonID, a text box called year and a subform called frmSub . The Subform is unbound so that dependant on the year value i.e. 1 the subform displays frmSubyear1 though to 4.

    Now this part works fine.

However I also want each subform recordset to display the matching record when the value in the combo box changes. i.e. after updating the combo box on the mainform the subform should display frmSubYearX the related record that is linked by child [personID] and master [cboPersonID] , and then if there isn't one that matches..go to new record.

    thanks in advance

You'll have to force a requery on an unbound form/subform.

Use the combobox AfterUpdate property to do something like this:

    Me.subform.requery
    me.subform.repaint

    Hope this helps
