    Unanswered: speed up the query time

    i am using postgres.

    i wrote a sql to join between 4 to 5 table. one of the table is stored over 1000000 records. So, the query time of the sql is over 30 sec. i checked the query plan that all the table have been used the index. Any suguest for speed up the query time.

    In order to raise the performance you need to "pull all drawers" like views, triggers, stored procedures etc.
    With the statement "limit x" you can limit the output.

    The possibilities are depending on your individual queries, thus it is not possible to give you a concrete advice.
