Unanswered: howto bypass "select unique identifier" dialog box with vba-code?

    hi,
maybe somone could help me with this problem:

i have to link an oracle-view via odbc to my access database from code. as the view is updateable, access needs to know a unique field.

when i use the "transferdatabase" method, the "select unique identifier"-dialogbox opens and a unique field can be selected. afterwards the linked table (or view in my case) has got a primary key on th selected field.

but i don't want the user to do this and therefore i would like to bypass this dialogbox and supply the unique field with code.

using createtabledef works fine, but i cannot add any index (because it's a linked table) and because of this i cannot update the view.

    thanks for any suggestions

This is a shot in the dark as I've never worked with Oracle before.

By default TransferDatabase's object type is set to AcTable.

Have you tried using acQuery instead?

If this works let me know as i'm kinda curious myself.
