    Unanswered: Setting SQL Server Instance

    I installed a Sql Server 2000 on a Windows 2000. I used windows security and uid and pswd fpr it. but i can't connect to it fron other pc on
    network. I install a client side version of SQL Server 2000 on a pc on network. But i can't Connect to Server from it (client sql). I use Enterprise manager on client sql pc to connect to Server SQL pc but it can't.

    what is the problem?
    should i configure my server sql ?

    Have you created a Login for your windows user (specified as domain\uid) ?

    Have you created a User in the appropriate database, and made sure that user is related to the Login?

    From EM under Security --> logins check this Windows userid exists or not.

    What netlib is used to connect the server?

    Tanks for your attention . How could i create a user in my appropriate database? and how could i mad it related to the login?
