Wink Unanswered: need a subform that opens within main form

    Hi ,

I have a combo box with 3 different values. I have an afterupdate that opens a form depending on the combo box selection. But the form opens as a new form. I want these forms to open as a subform below the combo box on the main form. How do I do this?

    Thanks,
    Johnny

Re: need a subform that opens within main form

you can insert any of your subforms in your main form and use combo box AfterUpdate event to run code e.g.

    Me![frmSubForm].SourceObject=Some_name
    Me![frmSubForm].Visible= true

where Some_name would depend on combo box value

If on the other hand your inital form is maximized and opening new form completely coveres it, you can open new form as PopUp to prevent it.
