    Unanswered: Need advice about "backup"

    Hi everyone!

Our DB Server is on AIX plataform (RS6000), and we have only Linux machines to restore the backup if DB Server fails. I read that Recovery between cross plataforms are impossible yet. So, is a good way to create the same databases on Linux, export data from AIX and import them on Linux when necessary? I'm sure that this isn't the best way, but
now, it's being difficult to get another Aix machine...
I'm new in DB2 and database administration, somethings it's being very difficult for me, and I'll apreciate too much any help.

    Thanks in advance!

    Monica.
