Unanswered: How can I add a new record in a form

I created a form and the form is based on a table. It displays all existing records in the table but I can't add or go to a new record in the form. The navigation button on the bottom of the form indicates the new record selection is unavailable.

    I tried to add On_Open_Procedure
    DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNewRec

It saids "you can't go to the specified record"

    Thanks!

    HI,

Go to your form properties and make sure you have selected yes for
"Allow Edits", "Allow Additions", and "Allow Deletions".
