    Unanswered: Rmi-jdbc

I am facing a difficult to send data from client to server's database (sql server 2000) through jdbc with using RMI. Do anybody know the code of how to connect to server's database (sql server) from client with the combination of RMI and JDBC. Your's help is much appreciated.

why do you need to use RMI to connect to JDBC. Just directly connect directly to the DB from the client using ODBC/JDBC. If you want you can make RMI objects that the client can call and the server looks up the data, places it in a serializable class then passes the class with data along to the client via rmi. That sounds more like what you want, but the direct connection to the db on the client would be easier, unless db access is only allowed on the local machine.

    good luck,
