I want to monitor the progress of a project rollout by watching the growth of rows in the Oracle database. What I would like to do is create an Excel spreadsheet that goes to the database, returns the date, a list of tables and their counts(). OK, this I can do...

The bit that I can't seem to solve is to make it historical. What I would like is a series of graph which show count() against time. To do this I need the query to load it's data into a new column in the spreadsheet each time it refreshes... This I can't achieve.

OR...

It would be fine if each run of the query added the rows to the bottom of the previous resultset, then by including the date in the query I could create a pivot.

Any help would be appreciated as I can see lots of uses for this if I can solve this problem...
