Question Unanswered: Linking two combo box query

    Hi,

I'm a newbie to Access and need advise in creating two combo box, A and B. Where the value in combo box B will depend on the value in combo box A.

I've created a simple database of a departmental store.

Tbl_Main: User, Department (combo box to Dept), Location (combo box to Loc)
    Tbl_Department: Dept (PK)
    Tbl_Location:Loc (PK), Dept (FK)

What i need is that in Tbl_Main, when i select a department, for e.g Toy Dept, and later select on Location, it should only display values related to only Toy Dept.

The problem now is that i'm unable to achieve this. Pls advise. Tks.

I've attached my sample database file.

Combo boxes are based on queries.

Your second combo box would use your first combo box as a criteria, in a hidden column.

Your second combo box would need to be requeried when the first combo box record is changed.
