Unanswered: db2 restore to another server

We have to try to restore our prod db to our dev server. The OS on both is linux(versions are the same).

    The database is db2 v7.2.

We run our backups to a /db_arch/backup directory

When I restore it to the new server what command will have to issue? Something similar to this:

    "db2 restore db day2prod from /db_arch/backup/day2prod/DAY2PROD.0.db2user.NODE0000.CATN0000.1999123015314 1 to
    /dbdir"

    any help would be appreciated

    thanks

Sorry forgot to add that they would like to apply some of the logs from the production server as well after the restore of the full backup image is succesful. If i could get some advice on that as well, that would help

    thanks

    Source Machine:

    db2 backup database day2prod to /db_arch/backup

    say DAY2PROD.0.db2user.NODE0000.CATN0000.1999123015314 1

Binay triansfer this file to /db_arch1/backup on the target machine ..

    Target Machine:

    db2 restore database day2prod from /db_arch1/backup

    Issue

db2 rollforward database day2prod query status

The output will give information on the next log file required.
Copy all the archive logs from the one required to the last log file (you might need to use ARCHIVE LOG command on the source database server to archive the last log being used) to a directory on the target, say /archivelog/day2prod .

db2 rollforward database day2prod to end of logs and complete overflow log path /archivelog/day2prod

    Hope this helps

    Cheers
