Angry Unanswered: How to set printtofile and filename in access 2000

    Hi,

Iam trying to print reports to a file in Post Script format.
    Can someone help me on
'how to set the filename programatically'

My default printer is a Post Script printer, which prompts for a file name and I don't want user to give the file name as there are many files/reports that will be printed in succession.

    Regards,
    Hello123.

i don't think access understands what PS is unless you have an export filter that i don't have.

output to file in postcript: impossible i guess
output to text (xls, htm, etc): no problem
    print to printer: no problem
print to postscript printer connected on port "FILE": no problem

so it looks to me like this is a dos/windows/printer setup question??
if you can persuade your PS printer driver to print to file using a fixed filename, you're done.
