    Unanswered: list tables in oracle

    I need select from data dictionary,I mean selects I can see
    for example all tables in my db.

    There are lots of views on the Oracle data dictionary to do this. The ones starting with USER_ show just objects you own, views starting ALL_ show all objects you can see, and DBA_ show all objects in the database.
    For example, USER_TABLES has a row for each of your tables, USER_TAB_COLUMNS describes the columns of your tables...

    To see a full list of data dictionary views:

    SELECT * FROM dict;

    view

    there is also a view named "tab".
    select * from tab;
    shows all your (user) tables, no other objects.

    If you want list of all tables:
    connect as system or sys then select * from all_tables.
