We are having a strange error occur during a query of an iSeries DB2/UDB file while using an ODBC call from a Linux machine.

I modified the table in question by renaming a field, dropping the table & indexes, then copying the data back into the table with a *NOCHK option. The table format and data looks fine.

When we call the program and make the ODBC connection, it says the "old" field name cannot be found in the table. It's almost like the iSeries is 'buffering' the field (column) names somewhere and it's not willing to let this one go.

I printed the SQLPKG info, but I see no field info listed; otherwise I would remove the SQLPKG info and see if that corrected the problem.

How can I get the iSeries ODBC call to recognize the 'new' field name?

TIA,
dd
