    Unanswered: SQL Server Desktop Edition

I just installed SQL server desktop edition on my desktop. How do I start SQL Server agent? It's not on startup and I cannot seem to find it. Is there a DOS command I can use to start it?

    A second question
I have my main SQL database running on the main server. I wanted to set up a test environment so I can upgrade and change things on my Desktop b4 I make changes to the main database. The whole interface of the SQL server is built in ASP. Ths ASP App is using SQLOLEDB.1 to connect to the database on the server, but I am having difficulties running the same code on my desktop. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help

Look for the 'service manager' under start..programs..sql server.

For the ASP question, what is your connection string ?
