Unanswered: SQLXML template parameters with special characters

Hi,
I would like to know how to pass parameters with special characters (<,>,& etc.) to SQLXML templates.
I have a SQLXML template with a stored procedure.
If I pass a parameter value as <test> without encoding to the template, it fails. If I encode the value as <test> and pass it to template, stored procedures inside the template takes these encoded strings and stores them in the database as they are (i.e. <test&gt.
I want to store the value as <test> without handling it in the back-end.

Thanks,
Krishna

Hi, without knowing more about what you are doing,
if it is breaking because of XML validation,
you might try using
<![CDATA[<test>]]>
because XML parsers ignore anything between '<![CDATA[' and ']]>'
(quotes obviously excluded)

If XML Validation has nothing to do with this, then ignore this response
