    Unanswered: Complete Loser needs HELP!!!

My database (inherited) will not display decimal numbers within a field. The number always rounds off to the appropriate whole number even if I force it to show decimal points. All thoughts appreciated.

Since no one answered it and I had a brainfart and ran into the same issue.

Your field is probably set to an integer. Set it in the table to single or double for number type.

If the control (i.e.: TextBox) displaying the numerical data is not large enough (width wise) to display the full contents of the number then Access will automatically make the number appear integer. All mathimatical functions pertaining to the data is carried out correctly but will not show as such if there is no room to display the result.

Try widening the control that is displaying your data.
