    Angry Unanswered: Cannot see Indexes

    I have a Delphi program that querys a Informix Dynamic Server Database it seems to work fine but the problem is that it cant see the table indexes.

    Im using Informix Cli 2.5 to connect to such database, using an ODBC and one BDE alias, I use the Table ok but without indexes I cant do much.......Help

    I need to see those damn Indexes..........

    Start 'dbaccess' and choose 'table'-'info'-'indices' from
    the menu.
    Then you will see all indices from this table.

    Or you might execute 'dbschema -d <db> -t <table> <file>.sql -ss'

    This will produce a file with the create table/index statements
    for this table.

    Thanks Eric I understand what you tell me, but thee thing is that I can see the indexes with dbaccess, the problem is that I cant see them with Delphi, Im using Informix CLi.......I create a code that connects to certain Informix Db and access any table, but via Delphi I cannot see the Indexes, I know that the indexes exists, but I cannot use them, I think my problem is the Informix CLi or the driver......can u help me???

    Really, I have no knowledge about Delphi.

    Why do you need to see the indexes in Delphi ?

    Normally the IFMX optimizer will chosse the right index
    for your query (assuming that you run 'update statistics
    frequently').

    You might also query the IFMX data dictionary table
    'sysindexes# for defined indexes.

    Maybe you should download the newest IFMX ClientSDK
    from this site (for free):
