    Unanswered: Small problem

I have form that has a cmd button that opens another form to allow user to enter comments for client record. However, when I try to save the comments, its telling me that a field from the previous form cant contain a null value even though the field has data.

Can someone please have a look cos I have no idea.

    Re: Small problem

The comments field is on the table clients table.

When you open the comments form it is not adding it to the same record but creating a new record. If you add the ClientID onto the comments form you'll see what I mean.

    Either:

    1) put the comments onto page 2 of the clients form.
    2) Make the comments field in a new table. (would give desired effect)

    Hope this helps

    Thanks John,

I was thinking about putting the comments field in another table and then link it to the main table but I wasnt sure if the most effective way.
I guess the other option is like u said, use page 2.

Thanks for tip now I have something to work with.

    :-)
