Unanswered: ODBC Call Failed when accessing ACCESS
I have had an ODBC configuration from Pervasive.SQL 2000i to ACCESS97 running for some time now, on a network drive (NT). Now I am getting an error telling me the connection failed when I try to use it:
[Pervasive][ODBC Client Interface][Client LNA]The ODBC Client
Interface cannot access the data source because SQL Connection
Manager is not running at the specified port number. Contact
your system administrator for assistance.
I have rebooted my server and my PC. Pervasive knowledge base says to rename my engine using a name and not an IP address. I am and have always used the name here. Don't know what else to try. Suggestions?
The "port issue" is usually a communication issue between the client and the server. Make sure that the Pervasive System Analyzer works with both the network tests and the ODBC/Relational tests. If they don't, start a new thread and post the results of the PSA tests.
