    Unanswered: Placing excel files into mysql

    Hello

    Can I do that, convert excel files into mysql?
    Also say I have a members table and there are some members in it, then I get a excel files with all the new members and all the old ones and I need to place that file into the database without inserting the old members again. Can I do that???

    Help would be apreciated!!!

    Yes, you can by using a good GUI i.e. EMS Mysql Manager...
    Yes, you can too by creating a unique id for each member, and configure import utility so that it ignore dupplicate error when import a new excel file that has both old and new members.

    SQL*XL: easy inserting into your databases

    Hi,

    SQL*XL may be of help here. SQL*XL allows you to send data from your spreadsheet directly into your database.

    I suggest you have a look at SQL*XL by downloading both SQL*XL and SQL*XL ADO from www.oraxcel.com. If you like what you see I can supply a fully functional but time limited trial function.
