Question Unanswered: Export Error on 9.2 upgrade

After I upgraded the db from 8.1.7 to 9.2, the export has not completed successfully. The error msg reads:

    EXP-00008: ORACLE error 4068 encountered
ORA-04068: existing state of packages has been discarded
    ORA-04063: has errors
ORA-04063: package body "SYS.DBMS_REPCAT" has errors
ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called
    ORA-06512: at line 1
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SYS_SQL", line 1120
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SQL", line 316
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_EXPORT_EXTENSION", line 87
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_EXPORT_EXTENSION", line 138
    ORA-06512: at line 1
    EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully

I tried to re-compile the package but failed.

Any ideas how to fix it? The database is not invovled in any replication. I am wondering if I could simply drop all the DBMS_REPCAT packages.

Re: Export Error on 9.2 upgrade

have you done the upgrade aith running all required scripts? or only changed the binaries?
especially catalog.sql, catproc.sql and catrep.sql are required in this case.
If you want to remove al lreplication objects use the script catrepr.sql

Did you ran these scripts after the binary patching?

    1. @rdbms/admin/catpatch.sql

    2. Review the patch.log file for errors and re-run the catpatch script after correcting any problems

    3. shutdown

    4. startup

    5. @rdbms/admin/utlrp.sql

    Hope that helps,
