Red face Unanswered: Importing a flat file into DB2

    Hello all,
I'm very new at DB2, and I'm involved in a project to do ETL'ing. I've got raw data from a DB2 database (supplied by client) and I need to load it back into DB2 to view the tables. How do I do this?

    Thanks in advance

Re: Importing a flat file into DB2

You can use either IMPORT or LOAD commands ... But LOAD is best in your scenario ...

The flat file can be of FixedWidth ASCII, Delimited ASCII, IXF or WSF formats.

Refer the command reference for command information. Data Movement guide is useful for knowing details on these utilities.

    Cheers

    Thanks,

I've managed it, and now I'm on the way to do the rest of my work. Thanks again Sath.
