    Unanswered: Why can't drop user?

    I do it as follow:

    SQL>connect / as sysdba

    SQL>drop user zyk;
    drop user zyk cascade
    *
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
    ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    I use oracle9.2 on win2000, what's the problem?
    Thanks

    This may be silly reply. Check your hards disk where the particular tablespace/data file resides. I faced this problem long ago with Oracle 8 and window NT4.0.

    rerun catproc, catexp..

    Id got the same problems, but resolved it just before right now!

    Re-run the catproc.sql and catexp.sql. Those script files are located in $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin directory.

    Good Luck..
